ARNB Members are awarded Master Points when they place in ARNB sanctioned games. These are recorded on the member’s behalf. Prior to March 2007, an agreement with ACBL also resulted in an equivalent number of Black points being credited to an ACBL player’s ACBL Master Point total (up to a maximum of 50 points a year).
If you have ever had an ARNB membership, whether or not you allowed it to lapse, you are considered to be "renewing" your membership, not joining as a new member.
You can still play in the duplicate games without being a member of the ARNB (as a “visitor”). The first two times there is no additional cost. After that, it will cost an additional 1,000 colones every time you play.
Non-members cannot participate in ARNB National Championships. There is usually an additional charge to play in ARNB special events (Bridge Luncheons, the Christmas Party, etc.).
You can become a member by contacting the Treasurer of the ARNB, (click Contact Us here or in the sidebar for contact information).
