The minutes of meeting #19 were read; John Goold moved that they be accepted, Steve Allen seconded the motion, and they were approved unanimously. The minutes of meeting #20 were read; John Goold moved that they be accepted, Steve Allen seconded the motion, and they were approved unanimously.
The Treasurer, Frederika Houtkooper presented the treasurer's report. As of the 15th of March there were expenses of 199,263 colones and $2,875. 105 ARNB members have paid their membership to date. The Treasurer has paid the ARNB annual dues for 2005 to the CACBF.
We have received two invitations to tournaments in Dominica and Tenerife. We have received three letters: one from Marvin Sossin, Eduardo Piza, and Norman Sklar complaining about the change of date for the Costa Rican National Open Pairs Tournament for 2005. Steve Allen moved to send a letter of apology and to change the date, probably to November of each year. Pilar Vitoria seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously.
The organizer of the May Zonal Tournament, Ian McLennan, gave a report on the state of preparations for this tournament. He said that all was under control and progressing well.
