The meeting was called to order at 10:21 a.m. Present were:

The minutes of the last meeting were read. John Goold moved that they be approved, Frederika Houtkooper seconded the motion, and they were approved unanimously.
Pilar Vitoria moved to hold a General Assembly of members on Wednesday, September 7th at 3:00 p.m. at the premises of the Tres Sin Triunfo club. John Goold seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.
The Board proposed Tuesday, October 4th for a charity game to help the Centro Integral de Ocupación Social y Afines (CIOSA) in Santo Domingo de Heredia. The game is to be held at the Tres Sin Triunfo premises. The entry will be ¢3,500 per player and we will solicit food from whoever will donate it for sale so as to raise more money for this charity. Frederika Houtkooper and Pilar Vitoria are charged with organizing it.
John Goold moved that John Mac Gregor be appointed director of the National Open Teams tournament to be held in August 2005 and that he can play and direct. We will pay him a $25 honorarium for this tournament. Pilar Vitoria seconded the motion and it was approved by majority, with the abstention of John Mac Gregor. This tournament will be held August 27th and 28th at 10 a.m. on the 27th at the premises of the Tres Sin Triunfo club. The cost will be ¢8,000 per player with lunch included on the 27th. The final will be 32 boards.
