Meeting #28 of the Board of Directors - 2006-02-27

The meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m. Present were:

The minutes of the last meeting, #27, were read. John Mac Gregor moved that they be approved, John Goold seconded the motion, and they were approved unanimously.

The minutes of the Extraordinary General meeting were read. Pilar Vitoria moved their approval, John Mac Gregor seconded, and they were approved unanimously.

John Mac Gregor suggested writing a letter of appreciation to the previous members of the Board: Ria Houtkooper, Irving Ferenz y Steve Allen, something the secretary will do.

The ARNB National Individual Tournament will be held March 4^th, 2006. The donor of the trophy for this tournament, Dick Frost, suggested a single session event. Ian McLennan moved that the event be held as two sessions with lunch included, to start at 10:00 a.m., at a cost of ¢8,000 per player. John Mac Gregor seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously.

The WBF invited us to the tournament in Verona, Italy in June.

Eduardo Piza sent an e-mail message proposing to change the date of the ARNB National Teams Tournament. Pilar Vitoria moved to change it. Ian McLennan seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously. John Goold moved to form a committee composed of John Goold, Ian McLennan, and Pilar Vitoria to prepare for this tournament. Ian McLennan seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously.

John Mac Gregor moved that non-members of the ARNB who wish to play in ARNB sanctioned club games pay the surcharge, starting March 10^th, 2006. That in future years, this will be from February 1^st of each year. John Goold seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously.

John Mac Gregor moved to end the meeting; Ian McLennan seconded the motion; and the meeting ended at 1:27 p.m. by unanimous approval.
