Meeting #30 of the Board of Directors - 2006-05-15

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Present were:

The minutes of the last meeting were read. John Mac Gregor moved that they be approved, Ian McLennan seconded the motion, and they were approved unanimously.

The Treasurer, Ian McLennan, reported that the ARNB has assets of ¢1,819,588.48.

Ian McLennan moved that non-members who participate in ARNB-sanctioned games should have the right to play in two games without being surcharged. After that, they must pay 1,000 colones more, 500 colones for the ARNB and 500 for the club. Patricia Miranda seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.

Pilar Vitoria moved to hold the WBF World Wide Bridge Contest on Friday June 2^nd and Sunday June 3^rd, in the afternoons, at Tres sin Triunfo. John Mac Gregor will direct both games. The cost will be 5,000 colones per player, if playing in a single game, and 8,000 colones per player if playing in both. Of this money, 1,300 per player is for the ARNB to pay the WBF and to print the booklets of hand analyses. Ian McLennan seconded the motion and it was approved by the majority with the abstention of John Mac Gregor.

Pilar Vitoria moved that the free membership game should be June 22^nd, 2006 at 6:00 p.m., with dinner, in the facilities of Tres sin Triunfo. Patricia Miranda seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.

John Mac Gregor moved to end the meeting, Pilar Vitoria seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.
